In the beginning, my husband tried to talk to me a lot about his recovery and I tried to talk a lot about mine too. We actually had to take turns sharing about our meetings.
Today, we both remind each other to stay on our sides of the street.
He loved a saying I read here and shared with him. "Hands of the addict" and its something he still says today - if he needs to - with a wink and a smile. And I say "hands of the codie." lol
