You might want to look into AVRT and urge surfing. I had never heard of either before coming to SR and I think the basic principles of those methods were the key for me. You sound like you have the same patterns I did so you might have similar luck with them. You may be dealing with some withdrawal symptoms on top of the flu, maybe that's why you're feeling so sick.
