I can relate. Good for you for making the right decision. Altercations often end up involving police, attorneys, and/or ambulances. Good to avoid all three in those circumstances regardless of who ends up the butt-kicker or the butt-kickee. Sounds like you turned a frustrating and bad situation into a victory of growth and strength to me.
