This has been going on ever since Bill and Lois Wilson -- that's why Lois started Al-Anon; basically, because Bill had become so involved with AA that that's all he was doing. Lois got sick of it and decided she (and other wives who were in the same boat) needed their own program. There's more to it than that, but that's basically what happened.
Do you go to Al-Anon?
