Two weeks in, and the nightmares abate
It's been fully two weeks since I had anything to drink, and last night was the first full night's sleep that I've had - 7.5 hours, with only a non-eventful brief awakening halfway through.
The first week had the usual high-intensity nightmares, and sporadic sleep that added up to just a couple of hours.
I really enjoy a good solid nightmare, so that was fine. Waking up with a huge adrenaline rush is immediately scary, and very thrilling, but it does not make for a good night's sleep.
Funny thing about the nightmares when getting clean... there's never a plot for me. They don't mean anything. It's just big spiders, or being chased. Very primal, very simple.
Here's hoping tonight continues the trend of achieving actual REM sleep.
