thank you. it is very reassuring to hear that others share that point of view. when i first got "serious" about quitting i couldn't understand why i cannot say "i chose a healthy life style" vs "i am an alcoholic", why do i have to say "recovering alcoholic", when i completely turned my life around... i too hate to label things.
i didn't have the knowledge, nor was i aware of "the beast". so the beast won the battle, for i had no way to recognize nor understand the conflict that started happening inside of me after prolonged sobriety.
now that i have this awesome tool and reading and learning more about it, i feel more and more confident.
the pieces of the puzzle are falling into place.
to me this was the missing piece. the beast had won one battle, but i will win the war.
