Boredom gets me too. As soon as I'm alone and have nothing to do, my mind starts wandering around. The best thing to do is get something to fill your time. What I've noticed is because of my drug use, I actually don't have any hobbies because all my time was spent using/thinking about using and all that. I joined a gym and I can already tell the difference - something like that would work for you
