I had a few friends tell me that too...They just worded it a little differently...This is a progressive disease...And things like delusion and denial can kill you...Or at least cost you everything dear to you in your life...I know this from experience....If it is back to AA for you...I'd recommend giving it your all...Get a sponsor and work the 12 steps....I can also tell you from expeience that it works....Just do what they did.
