Watching my mind...

Being aware of my thoughts...knowing my thoughts are not usually true. They are not me. I am not my mind. Being aware of myself, what I am doing and thinking in the Now moment really helps. Sitting and paying attention to my breath. Asking myself where the anxiety is in my body. Feeling it...allowing it. Saying to myself that though I am having really bad anxiety...it will not last. Drinking kava tea helps. Reading very short positive meditations helps. Not drinking alcohol helps. Limiting coffee to one cup helps. Letting go of trying to control people, places and things. Just allowing the moment to be exactly what it is....because it already is. When all else fails I take a klonipin!
