I started off eating like crazy at the beginning as well. I've slowly incorporated exercise into my daily life and I try to eat the kind of foods that I can eat a lot of if I feel I need to. For me it was about quantity... It gave me something to do besides drink. I also have been more of a grazer since I quit drinking-- intentionally. I stopped the big meals and just kind of eat consistently throughout the day. I found out that being hungry was a HUGE trigger for me so I make sure I never really get to that starving point.
