Congrats on Day 1, Marine28! I am only on Day 3 but I definitely understand how our minds trick us into believing we can "control" it. I keep fighting back the voice in my head that wants to think I could have just a few drinks and be a moderate drinker because obviously I can't or it would have already been done, right! Keep on with your sobriety, it will feel so much better when we can be more in control of our own lives and not let alcohol have the power!
