MTUSA, there are no words that I can say to you to comfort you, if only there were. Yes, I can't even imagine what it would be like to have a child addicted. You can walk away from a SO but a child is so different. I have a friend who has 4 children, two are wonderful adults and her other two are addicts, one on heroine and the other an alcoholic. When I talk to her I see in her eyes the overwhelming sadness and there is nothing I can do or say to her to change this other than letting her know that I'm here for her.
I will pray for your son and know that as long as he's breathing there is hope! I will pray for you as well.
