It does get better...but not always immediately...thats why support groups like SR exist
I spent 20 years drinking...I had unreasonable expectations on being 'normal' in a couple of weeks - I think many do...but it doesn't work like that I'm afraid.
We're changing our lives - that takes time
Staying sober was in many ways the hardest thing I had to do....but the most worthwhile.
It was easier than my drinking life anyway
