In 1988, my ex husband was tried and convicted for child molesting.
I was never subpoena'd.
I knew when the date was
the prosecution did NOT want me to show up
(and I ..DID.. of course)
but it's now always necessary for a subpoena
they're usually for what might be a 'hostile' or 'reluctant'
witness.
