Pickme, have not given up on this group's support. I am new to blogs and this site, so I am not even sure if this will go to the group!
The feedback is right on. Abusers and addicts will shift the blame, externalize, to justify their behavior. It is a bit of a survival mechanism. I think it can be worse with men who externalize more than women who tend to blame ourselves. This said, it is hard to stand there and take it or leave the situation and know it is still there when you come back. Keep on taking good care of yourself.
