I did weigh my decision very carefully and I did take him back. I told him that he had to show me this time that he really meant what he said. I love him too much to watch him hit rock bottom and lose everything. I think everyone and every situation is different. I can't say that he only has one chance and if he screws up; that's it for me. I did, however, tell him that it's like playing Russian roulette. Each time he will be taking a chance that it's the one that will kill our relationship. So far, so good. He's going to meetings and 16 days sober. It's a start. I don't know where the future will take us but I am grateful for one day at a time. Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts.
