Good stuff you guys. Accountability is important but more than that, writing your goal down makes a huge difference between those who accomplish them versus those who just talk about them.
I try to set goals using the SMART concept. I did a quick google search for any easy write up on this concept if you're not familiar with it.
SAMRT
S - Specific
M - Measurable
A - Attainable
R - Realistic
T - Timely
