I simply can not thank you all enough for all the information and insight that you have provided me. I guess I was a bit naive about the whole "time in recovery" thing. Yes, lapsing is starting all over again, and when we started dating he would have been in his first year again!
When I said I spoke with his sponsor, he is actually his best friend and my friend as well. We spoke as friends, not as his sponsor. He only advised me to take care of me, be patient and leave it in Gods hands...which is what I have done.
Thank you all again for the help...its nice to know there are places where you can go and get honest answers and insight for something like this.
