I'm so very sorry for your loss. My AH is so lucky ... he went to the hospital 5/8/09 and was diagnosed with "near" liver failure ... I even recieved the call from the doc explaining how addicts don't get transplants and there is nothing they can do. I was devasted ... for some reason he was given a second chance and his liver started working again.
I'm going to share your story with him - he needs to hear it. He relapsed a month ago. I freaked out and drug him to the doc and his blood levels and liver #'s were still OK. I told him I won't go through that again but we all know the addiction is stronger than me or my demands.
