I would suck at counseling.
I would probablyhave looked right at him and said
something like
"so ... are we pretending that nothing just happened? Is that the route we're taking?"
"do you need a moment to yourself?"
"does that cost extra or is it included in the cost of the session?"
even just -
"better now?"
"did you say something?"
"If I smell that - I'm not payin for this session."
ten years in a bar ... no way would they get away with it.
and then charge me money to sit there.
