I dislike this sentiment. I am recovering without God, without AA. I have experienced the 'cloud' (and relapsed). I have experienced the 'cloud' and not relapsed. I am recovering. To feel happy in early sobriety is a wonderful thing. I have a lot to be happy about. It was that hapiness that brought me back to recovery. It's simply a better way to live.

To call my hapiness an 'illusion of my mind' because I am not doing it your way is at best, insulting. Please be mindful that there are many roads to recovery. Thankfully! What other hope would there be for us heathens
