My experience was that once I stopped bathing my brain in alcohol and other substances, things started looking up. Seems alcohol is a depressant, and the more I drank, the more depressed I became. Removing the alcohol seemed to have the expected effect of feeling better, becoming hopeful, and even encouraged me to start eating solid foods! The huge mistake I made was in thinking that it was going to last forever... OR that I had some control over it... So when the lethargy started seeping in, I had to start developing an action-oriented recovery, and I got that from AA.

Life has a way of balancing the take-offs with the landings...
I just didn't like landing...
