Sometimes there is no path to sobriety, no light at the end of the tunnel. My boyfriend loved me as much as he could, but he lost his battle with alcoholism three years ago. I was not at his side during the last months of this life. I had to save myself. But as you can see, I never stopped loving him. I just learned to love myself more.
