Hi Mark, you have made the first step in reaching out and asking for help. i know how scary that can feel but it is worth it. it's great that your wife is taking responsibility for her drinking. it sounds harsh but i have learnt that you cannot do anything to force a person to stop being destructive. you have to back off and allow them to be accountable. i'm not saying that you won't worry about your wife but it is important that you focus on yourself and your kids, otherwise you'll go mad. i attend al-anon which is great, i hope you can find a meeting. keep reading the posts on this site and find out as much as you can about addiction it willl really help.
