I would say...... "Poppi (inserting fake name) I don't know what you have to do to make me happy. I can only do that for myself."

or

"Poppi......I'm not sure anymore." "Let me know when you figure it out."


And then......do things that make you happy without depending on him to do that for you. You could always write a list of the things I'm sure you have told him over a hundred times and put it on the fridge and if he dares ask again it would be as simple as saying:

"Poppi....it's on the fridge."
