He's quacked at you but you know NOTHING has actually changed (and you don't have the power to change him). So what's made you change your mind about staying and working where you are? Guilt at not being 'fair'? You haven't actually gotten anything!!

He can go to counselling if he wants without you being there. You can't control him - being there won't 'make' him more likely to go, you know that.
