Welcome to the forum. You did NOT cause his alcoholism. Alcoholics blame others to make themselves feel better and make others feel guilty. The more guilt you feel the more crud you put up with and the cycle continues. It is not your fault - you can't control alcoholism any more than you can control the weather !
