I didn't find a whole lot in researching Aboriginal languages as far as pronunciation. I did find that it's typical to put the accent on the first syllable, and then every second one after that.
So, I say "
koo-ah" when I call her. She always looks at me, but I suspect it's a lot more due to the singsong tone of my voice than the actual name.
She's also bowlegged, so I chant to her "men like to go swimmin' with bowlegged women" a lot!
