Wow - I kid you not, about an hour ago I was thinking 'I wonder how Surlyredhead is doing' and here you are!
About a month after my Mom passed, I was kind of in a funk myself - it was a non-descript emotional place - not really up, not really down - just kind of stuck in limbo.
It does level out. Today my family members and I share funny stories and the 'remember when Mom did such and such.' I'll always miss her, but there's something more comforting about it now - it's like I 'feel' her with me and I hang onto that - it's calming.
I'm sure your Dad is proud of you for maintaining your sobriety. So glad you posted to let us know how you are. Take care, Cathy.
