Maybe something to think about, dubs. AA is a way of life. A life lived according to spiritual principles. A program of action with specific, precise directions that leads to being recovered.

It's not really a stop-gap measure of going to meetings and feeling better for a while and not drinking for a while. Many people use it like that who are unwilling to follow the directions, but they are really missing the point, hiding out in meetings so they won't drink for another day. AA's 12 Steps is a transformative experience that removes the obsession to drink, and then some.

Don't have an obsession? Then why are you still drinking?
