Welcome to SR, it sounds like it has been quite the journey for you. This is a good site, I like to stop in a few times a day. This site helps me in my recovery as I can take five minutes of my day and connect with people with similar problems, like a miniature online AA meeting.
I am glad you are in recovery and putting your career back together. I have been sober of alcohol 41 days now and am dealing with the consequences of a DUI which will put my career on hold for a while now, which sucks. So I understand the financial and professional ramifications of addiction, it sucks.
I did read your whole story. Often on forums I find it difficult to read long stories like that because they hurt my eyes or are otherwise hard to read. But your post was broken up into orderly paragraphs, well punctuated and written. For this I thank you.
