Congratulations on your 4 months sobriety!
For me, I could not be around alcohol for a long time. I had to stay away from it. I agree with you about this being a very personal decision and I don't think you should feel pressure to tell people, unless you feel sure that they would support you.
As far as dating, just follow your heart and do what you think is right for you. Just remember to make your recovery your priority.
