I came across this website by a stroke of luck and have been scrolling through the forums to find a great community.
I have stopped and started one too many times and I truly believe I am ready to do this for myself. I have been addicted to Heroin for over 3 years now, and told myself "This time is for real I'm quitting!" too many times.
I feel totally different this time and have spent my last couple weeks of using to set up a support circle and let my doctor in on it as to have the suboxone already set up for me. I had my last shot last night in the parking lot of an outlet mall and nodded off for a good 10-20 minutes after my visit to my addiction doctor. How appropriate.
The people around me this time are all sober and great support.
