30 days
30 days for me today...just wanted to say thank you to all of you for being here. Reading all of your posts made me look seriously at my own drinking, and your support has been awesome.
A couple years ago, I bought a book on how to moderate my drinking. The first thing they said to do was to abstain totally for 30 days. I thought 'if I could not drink for 30 days I wouldn't need this book on how to cut down!' A month was out of the question, which explains why I'm so surprised I'm able to start this thread today. I know it's not an eternity, but it's a pretty big deal for me.
