As you can see, you're not alone. You've received some excellent advice and can keep in touch right here for support and encouragement. Your wife sounds like an angel. Just do the best you can and when the opportunity is available, talk with a doc, maybe tomorrow. DTs are nasty and can kick the butt of anyone who has become totally dependent upon alcohol. My last bout of dts almost sent me over the edge, but that was 38 days ago, so you can do this, I know you can, with a little help from your new friends here and a good doc. Hang in there.
