I was powerless for a many yrs before
and after entering recovery. As an infant
entering rehab then crawling before i
could walk with the steps provided to me,
I soon began to have some control back
in my life.
Control by applying the steps in my every
day life.
As long as I kept trying to do it my way
for so long, which was the wrong way,
I failed so many times.
I had to learn from many before me
by listening to them share their own
ESH of what it was like before during
and after drugs and alcohol usage
in their lives.
I do have the power now which is
called choices in my life whether to
drink or not.
Those choices will determine whether
I want to live, go crazy or die from my
own addiction.
Today I chose to live.
