Thanks. I'm not ready to go all the way yet - thinking about September 11th as a quit date. (I wasn't in MYC or DC or PA, but it is a symbolic date for me.) Been lurking as a guest for about a week. I'll be posting more as I get closer. I'm trying to approach this like I did when I successfully quit smoking. That was a nasty withdrawal. I don't think I am as physically addicted to alcohol as I was to nicotine, but based on what I've read here I think I need to go to the doc before I do anything else.
