I have owned that book for almost 15 years. As I got in a roundabout way what they were saying the first time I read it, I kept reading it over the years until I fully understood the meaning of how codependency affected my life. At this point I can say I honestly "get" the ways my life has been screwed up from loved ones addictions. Read it several times until it sinks in.Old habits die hard in codependents. Life is so much better when you understand why we make the choices we do.
