But, y'all have to admit, don't you just love my political commentary through the ages? Whilst we discuss music, as the two really are interwoven, to certain degrees, we can still address current affairs. I'd challenge anyone to not say this is so. Look at the late 60s and 70s (late 60s my fave - a time of enligtenment and music that reflected this). Then the 80s - the me generation - I am sure you'll all come up with stuff to exemplify this. By the 90s I was spent, save a few artists. Now in 2009 - I go back to Moody Blues (listening to right now) and all the other good stuff. I've dropped out, so to speak, as I know we have someone at the helm who is brilliant. I've done my part. I fought through the last eight years like a nutcase to shine the light. Now I plan to just kick back and listen to some 60s/70s music. Sigh.
