Teachers who teach kids to think critically about evolution are 9 times out of 10 teaching them to doubt evolution. You're supposed to teach kids to think critically bout everything-not just evolution. It goes without saying. btw, I've taught kids and adults, so this is an important issue to me.
I'm glad I went to a school where my science teacher explained evolution in clear terms. No BS. Any teacher that tries to put their own beliefs into a high school bio class needs to be fired. These are impressionable kids who may walk away from the class thinking evolution isnt a sound theory. And thats totally not the case.
Anyway, kids are not at the stage where they know enough to "question" evolution. Its hard enough to teach them concepts like natural selection without introducing them alternative views to evolution.
