It's sort of about a girl who is basically a compulsive shopper. With expensive tastes (Gucci, Prada, etc) and drastically overspends her credit cards and income. It's a fun movie, made from an air-headed sort of chick-lit novel. I watched it with my mom, who has no idea about my own addictions, so I had to pull it together but toward the end of the movie she describes how when she's having a bad day, shopping makes her feel better, but then she gets her purchases home the feeling is gone and she wants to go back out and make another purchase to get that feeling back that all is right with the world. And eventually it just got out of control. I fought back tears at that one. And the annoying thing? The book made me laugh (pre-addiction) and doesn't really shove the addiction stuff in your face (or maybe I just didn't notice it because I had no addictions of my own when I read it). So I went for a light-hearted movie and ended up with something somewhat more serious.

Now. No way in hell I'm watching Last House on the Left.
