My son-substance abuse
I need some advice as how to deal with my son who is a substance abuser. He appears to be getting worse, is there anything I can do to help him? Any advice would be wcelomed. Thanks
My son is 39 yrs old and has had a problem off & on with substance abuse since late teens.
Thank you goldlady, and I think I knew what your answer might be, but I remember Caroll O'Connor (All in the Family) saying when his son died, was to get between you and your son's drugs. I never knew what he meant when he said that. I find it so hard and frustrating to watch my son die, and after to know that I might have been able to do something. I have not attended meetings but I think I will encourage my daughter-in-law to go to a few with me, just to be with people who have been through the same thing. My heart goes out to you and I thank you soooo much.
