Totally relate Tommy.
I'm training for a marathon in May and I really need to crack on with the training. I've done several 1/2 marathons in the past but I always used my drinking as the excuse to get out of doing anything longer. I never wanted to train for too long because I wanted to be back home and drinking.
I ran 5k yesterday for the first time in a few weeks and I ache so much. I know my fitness will come back though I just need to keep myself sober and healthy and it will fall into place.
