Hi Amaire. In my own experience, counselors who know their stuff in working with this disease have a great B.S. detector. When my almost ex AH and I were still trying to keep the marriage together, I'd go nuts knowing that he wasn't being forthright with his counselor. When I started going to f2f meetings, I finally realized that the lying and omissions are really common and that a good counselor will see through it. That was good to know...made me feel a lot less like calling his therapist and letting him know the "truth according to Alison." :wife
