This is all good advise. I have experienced very much of the same withdrawal symptoms as you - not quite to the same degree.

That lighting feeling you describe relates to something that I regarded as a monster twitch. One where almost my whole body would shake for a split second like my electrical system skipped a beat.

Most of the physical symptoms seem to go away after a couple weeks of being sober. However, I was never a 24 hour day drinker *I have never really done that*. But, I did get drunk almost every night to various degrees for numerous years.

Phsycological affects such as anxiety, depression, etc. appear to me that I have to be sober for longer to improve. I too have heard it can take a year for the body/mind to rewire itself. Good nutrition is very important. Even if you have a healthy diet, while being a drunk, the alcohol inhibits your body from absorbing key nutrients.
