Ok ladies, I found my easy recipe for cheesecake from scratch!
Filling:
8 oz. cream cheese
1 cp. sugar
1 T. vanilla
1 lg. or 2 sm. boxes of jello
1 to 1-1/2 cp. boiling water
1 can Milnot
Crust:
1/4 cp. sugar
2-3 T melted butter
Graham Cracker crumbs
Mix the graham cracker crumbs and 1/4 cp sugar together, cut in melted
butter slowly. Spread evenly in lightly buttered 13 x 9 pan.
Mix jello with boiling water, set aside to cool. Whip Milnot in glass
or metal mixing bowl until stiff or forms peaks. It has to be glass or metal or it wont rise right. Place in fridge.
Cream together the cream cheese, 1 cp of sugar, and vanilla. Slowly add
cooled Jello mixture. Fold this into the Milnot very slowly with a
spatula or large spoon. Then spoon into the 13 x 9 pan.
