I usually wake up in a pretty good frame of mind.
Something that helps me hang on to that is to sit and watch the sunrise and spend a moment having a coffee with God. I give him my son to take care of, and I ask to be led for the day and not distracted by trivial "noise".
I didn't used to be a morning person but today I find it one of the most beautiful times of day.
