you WOULD think that, unless you're an addict who hasn't hit bottom. For some reason, we keep thinking "I won't let this get out of control again" or "I can handle this and no one will know".

Right now, she is using and she thinks she's getting away with it..still has a job, her kids around her, a place to live. I'm only saying this, because this is probably what she's thinking. Some of us get into recovery because we just get sick and tired of using and what comes with it. For me, it wasn't until I faced some serious consequences that I even thought of recovery.

Addiction makes no sense.

I don't know what her bottom is, but I pray she finds it soon. In the meantime, PLEASE take care of you. You have a lot on your hands, and I know it's hard, but you don't deserve to be dragged down again if she wants to go that path...neither do her babies. who are very lucky to have you.

I KNOW this is hard for you, but she's got to learn to sink or swim on her own.
