Hi Aldo and Welcome to SR!

I am so happy you decided to check out this forum. I can tell you that, for me, in the very early days of my sobriety I practically lived at this site. It saved my life. I live in a very rural area and AA meetings are a half hour drive each way, and I was not strong enough to gather my courage and resources to go to meetings for about 2 months. Luckily, I came to SR, with coffee in hand, sat down and participaeted.

I learned (and continue to) so much so directly by being able to read people's thoughts on various recovery related subjects. In a way, SR took me deeper into the exploration of subjects that I may not have been able to just by attending face to face meetings.

But, having said that, after the first couple of months, I KNEW I needed to get out and see real live people and get out of my isolation.

Now its been nearly 2 years, and I still do both: SR and 6 meetings per week.
Oh, and about that hour drive: I just do it.

Good luck! You deserve the best!
