Trisha, My husband said the very same thing to the officer and he admitted that they should have arrested him, but he said that since Megan did not want to press charges, he would be out in a few hours anyway. He said the next time they get a call, they will arrest him. I have never had a need to turn my phone off since she never has called in the middle of the night. She again apologized for calling in the middle of the night. She was scared. Megan has actually tried really hard to not involve me in her business with this boyfriend.
